Walk leader: Brenda Cameron

This is a 7.75 miles walk – morning 4.5 miles, afternoon 3.25 miles.  The pub is on the edge of Birmingham suburbs with some very attractive countryside to the south which our routes will follow.

Meet by 10.30 am at The Man on the Moon pub, Redditch Road, Kings Norton, B38 8LR. Parking at front and rear.

By public transport – train from Birmingham New Street to Longbridge then a 45 bus outside the station (bus every 15 minutes) to The Man on the Moon (5/10 minutes).  Suggested train from New Street 9.23 am usually from platform 12B but please check.

The morning walk partly following the North Worcestershire Path  includes Wast Hill – more of a slope really! – a pleasant woodland path then field paths and a quiet lane back to the pub for lunch.  One or two stiles on the route and a modest gradual ascent. After lunch the route is south-west towards Bittell reservoir and Hopwood again following part of the North Worcestershire Path then another field path back towards the pub. Again, one or two stiles and a short easy ascent.

If you find that you are unable to join us after booking a ticket it would be helpful if you let us know by sending an email to bhamramblersenquiries@gmail.com or let us know though our contact form at https://cobra.eventcube.io/support-hub/contact - this will be passed on to the walk leader and will prevent any delay to the start of the walk should the leader be waiting for you.

Bookings for this walk will close at 06.00 on Wednesday 11 September 2024. Shortly after bookings have closed the walk coordinator will contact you by email to confirm that you will still be joining us on this walk; this is needed since we need to let the pub know the numbers for lunch in advance and we also like to release any unused places to others who may be on a waiting list. Please check your email, including Spam and/or Junk folders, shortly after bookings have closed for this walk and reply to let us know whether or not you will be still joining the walk.

If you would like to join this walk after the bookings have closed please email bhamramblersenquiries@gmail.com or contact us through our contact form at https://cobra.eventcube.io/support-hub/contact to enquire about any late availability for the walk.
