Thank you for your interest in this Wednesday walk with a pub lunch. We ask you to book in advance for this walk since bookings for meals from the pub menu are usually requested in advance. Walkers who prefer to take a picnic lunch are welcome to do so and the leader will have a place designated for this somewhere near the pub, in the village, or in the area where we are stopping for lunch.

This is a figure-of-eight route from the Coach and Horses pub, Weatheroak. Meet in the car park, of the Coach and Horses, 10, Weather Oak Hill, Alvechurch, B48 7EA for 10.30 start
Figure of eight route from the Coach and Horses pub, Weatheroak. The pub has its own brewery and serves classic pub lunches. The morning walk is a 5-mile circular route through fields and lanes and making use of Roman engineering. The afternoon is 3 miles circular around Kings Norton Golf club.
Morning walk: Starting from The Coach and Horses the route climbs quite steeply 100ft to the only stile on this section! It then crosses fields, alongside the golf course to St Mary’s Chapel, now offices. After a short break, we continue around the perimeter of the golf course and join the North Worcestershire path. We return by a meandering path across the golf course and then continue along lanes back to the Coach and Horses. 4.5 miles.
Afternoon walk: Starts with a climb up the Roman Road, Icknield Street to Forhill. The route then descends through woodlands and fields with good views to Watery Lane and back to the pub. 3.5 miles, 3 stiles.
