4 miles-Linear with 330 feet of ascent on good surface paths but some grass areas.
Meet the leader at 10.20 am for 10.30 am start, at the south bound side on Bristol Road South at the junction with Bournville Lane, by the police station B30 1QX and foot bridge in Bournville.
By bus, catch 61 or 63 opposite New Street Station. Allow 35 minutes for the journey. Alight at Bournville Lane police station, B30 1QX.
By car, on street parking in Bournville on Bournville Lane, post code, B30 1QX.
The walk starts from the Wood Brook passing through woodland to Manor Farm Park. Here it follows the Merrits Brook to Ley Hill Village Green where there are views of Frankley reservoir. This is a green corridor route with open space, some woodland and a park with views across Birmingham from the top of Ley Hill. From the Village Green the route returns to Northfield for refreshments and a comfort stop before catching buses home or back to Bournville. Mostly on firm footpaths with some woodland paths and grass areas.
