- on the following page click the Checkout button then complete the questions, click the Accept box and press the Confirm button. You will receive an automatic acknowledgement when you submit this form.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FINISHING TIME OF THIS EVENT SHOWN ABOVE IS ONLY APPROXIMATE AND CANNOT BE GUARANTEED; IT WILL DEPEND ON FACTORS SUCH AS THE WEATHER AND THE WALKING PACE OF THE GROUP.

Walk leader: Celia Howell-Jones

This is a 5.5 mile morning walk followed by a pub lunch and a 3-mile afternoon walk.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS

By Public transport: Meet at Moor Street Station at 9.45 am to catch the 9.55 am train to Lapworth, arriving at 10.23 am. The walk leader will meet the train passengers and walk with them to the Navigation Inn, 10mins. The off-peak return fare is £8.30. For West Midlands bus pass holders you need a train ticket from Dorridge to Lapworth, £2.50 off peak return. Return trains are 27 or 23 minutes past the hour.

By car: Meet at the Navigation Inn, Old Warwick Road, B94 6NA, ready to start the walk 10.40 am.

The 5.5-mile morning route follows the Stratford-on-Avon canal towpath going west through a series of locks before branching off to Lapworth village. From there the route turns north-west to Packwood House, before going east to the Grand Union canal. It then turns south to return to the Navigation Inn. The afternoon is a 3-mile circular walk via Baddesley Clinton and Rowington Green, before rejoining the Grand Union canal to return to The Navigation Inn.

Bookings for this walk will close at 06.00 on Wednesday 24 January 2024. After this, please email bhamramblersenquiries@gmail.com to enquire about any late availability for the walk.

If you later find that you are unable to join us it would be helpful if you let us know by sending an email to bhamramblersenquiries@gmail.com or let us know though our contact form at hhttps://cobra.eventcube.io/support/contact - this will be passed on to the walk leader and will prevent any delay to the start of the walk should the leader be waiting for you.
